When i purchased actinic catalog, actinic assured me that the software could handle around 10,000 products, and that it would actually take more than this. Unfortunately even at 5000 products the software becomes really slow to use. Initially I was attracted to actinic by the windows interface, but now i realise that storing the site locally isn't a brilliant idea, every minor change to the template and we have republish the entire site. The next time you read a review of actinic in a glossy computer mag ask yourself how many products they tested it with, i can assure you it was less than 5000!John Devaney
