You were expecting Adobe Photoshop 8.0 to follow Photoshop 7.0, right? Instead, they've confused everyone with a new name!The the new, full-version upgrade to Adobe Photoshop 7 has been named Adobe Photoshop CS. Why would Adobe do such a thing? Well the Adobe website states that they wanted to communicate that, in addition to being available on its own, Photoshop CS is also available as a part of Adobe’s new Creative Suite.
Once again Adobe has produced another 'must-have' upgrade with Photoshop CS. Choosing a favorite among its impressive list of new features is tough, but not to be overlooked is the amazing Filter Gallery feature. Now for the first time, I can freely experiment with groups of filters in one convenient dialog. I can even experiment with different stack orders resulting in amazing new effects. This is a very powerful feature that greatly expands the creative range of what I can do to improve the look and quality of my work.
