The American Express B2B Directory is a resource for in-depth information on hundreds of thousands of B2B companies--that is, companies that do business primarily with other businesses. All companies listed in the Directory accept the American Express Card.There is currently no charge for being listed in the AMEX business 2 business directory, as long as you accept American Express and provide goods or services that are suitable for business customers.
American Express defines three broad Business-to-Business industry categories which are suitable for inclusion in their business directory.
Business Retail - Merchants who sell goods to other businesses for use primarily within those businesses (e.g., computer software and hardware, office supplies, and equipment)
Business Services - Merchants who offer services to other businesses(e.g., advertising, staffing/employment agencies, packing and crating, and overnight mail)
Wholesale - Merchants who sell goods primarily to retailers or industrial users for resale to another user(e.g., industrial supplies, construction materials, and medical supplies and equipment)
People who use the B2B directory often can create lists of preffered suppliers, so it's well worth getting a listing if you accept AMEX as these companies are likely to place multiple orders if you treat them well!
