Apple MacBook Air Review

Apple MacBook Air

MacBook Air - the world’s thinnest notebook

I’m not very impressed with the new Apple Macbook Air. Whilst it’s hard not to be taken with the macbook airs external appearance some of the components included seem very low spec. I don't think I could manage without an optical drive. And is 64GB of storage space enough for anything worthwhile?

The battery life of the macbook air does not seem to be as good as you would expect from a laptop that has no hard or optical drives.

Your Comments/Opinions

I have to say that I am bit disappointed with my new MacBook Air. The MacBook Air is the first Mac I have ever owned. I do a lot of international traveling, and when I read the reviews of the MacBook Air I thought it would be an excellent laptop for me. But I have to say I am disappointed with the MacBook Air -- It just gets too hot to have on my lap. I can't sit and use the mac book air with shorts on whilst it is on my lap, it is just way too hot. I really like OS X but it is a pain having a laptop that I can only use on a table. Even when using the macbook air on a hard surface the keyboard gets very warm. Apple needs to rectify this overheating problem soon and offer existing owners a free fix or replacement.
