Benq PB6200 DLP projector 1700 Lumens Xga Review
Benq PB6200 DLP projector 1700 Lumens Xga
Mid Range Projector
I bought this projector mainly for business presentations, but the ease of setup, the silent fan, and the quality and brightness of the images also make it eminently suitable for TV projection.I was going to go for one of the Sony models until I saw a review of the Benq on an American website, where they rated it the best out of all the "budget" models. It handles 4:3 and 16:9 images really well, and gave only the slightest hint of the dreaded rainbow effect on one or two scenes. This may be because the colour wheel on this model rotates three times as fast as on cheaper models like the Infocus X1, so the effect is seen much less often. I certainly wasn't troubled by it, even in TV mode.
Criticisms ? Well, only minor gripes - the range on the optical zoom could be a little wider - with the projector only 5 feet from the screen, I got some pretty large images even on the minimum zoom setting. I also feel that the supplied video and power cables could have been a little longer.
Overall, this projector is excellent value for money. I would certainly recommend it for business or home use.
