I have just aquired one of these and I must say with all honesty that Canon have got it right with their Ax0 range of cameras. Apart from photos that look like photos and not like snapshots from a video camera (which you get from some cheap but apparently high spec cameras) this has a superb video capture facility. This camera is stupidly easy to use, whilst allowing even the most professional amateur the ability to take control of appeture, shutter speed, colour balence etc. Its manual focus is easy and macro focus is very good. It uses compact flash, which is a bonus as it is comparitivly cheap to other alternatives. Even the batteries lasted a full day (with me taking 100's of pictures and capturing video) which includes three fillings of a 128mb flash card. If you want a great camera for yourself or for family use, this one gets the thumbs up. Its well built (with a quality feel) and easy to use. Well done Canon!
