I have found this printer excellent value for money. It has great photo and text printing quality and with cheap replacement ink cartridges and the Canon name why look anywhere else for a low budget printer.

I bought this photo printer to use at home. I wanted a printer that is cheap, uses common and cheap supplies and is capable of printing reasonable photos from digital cameras. This Canon IP1500 Pixma printer fitted the bill very well. I was particularly pleased with the quality of the borderless digital photos on the photo paper in the sample pack that came with the printer. As a cheap but capable printerm, the Canon IP1500 Pixma is quite impressive

The Canon IP1500 Pixma is the best photo printer I have used in this price range. Good quality and handles most print jobs. Cartridges are small but cheap to replace, even if you buy canon originals. Perfect for average home use.

Everyone seems to love this printer. The speed was great and the quality was good. However, I couldn't help but notice that it had a tendency to pull paper to the right. My print job was lop-sided. Re-inserting the paper lessened the strong pull to the right but it did not solve my problem entirely. I got tired or shifting and re-inserting the paper, so I returned it. My old slow Compaq never had a problem dispensing a sheet of paper through straight.

I love the printer, it does pull to the right, It does however everyonce in awhile slow down something terrible. The only way I can fix it is to unload it and re load it. That is a pain gordonmurison@yahoo.com

my ip1500 makes strange noise on starting up, the light flashes green/orange, and will not print. says error code 6000.

I need HELP. Our printer refuses to print color. If on Outlook Express or the Internet with material containing both black and color the requested sheet has only the black printed and the color area is always BLANK. It will print color when I type an e-mail however.I have called Canon and am told it is not the printer. I have called Grande,our servicer and they say it is the printer. This is frustration beyond belief. At present I would like to dispose of it quickly. If you will not inform the proper help source to assist me solve this problem it will be my only alternative. hmarney@haysco.net

You can just put it at the corner of your table right up against the wall.It is a superb feature to prolong the lifespan of the printer. I strongly advise this printer to any casual computer user, students or even home and compact business.Highly advise! As a professional graphic artist with over 20 years in the industry, I have seen lots of products/suppliers come and go. Like Quark before it Epson decided to give up its core user base of professional graphic arts customers for the promise of a windfall of profit by catering only to Win-Tel users. The way It is paper tray folded up also made this printer very space saving.Together, these applications can give you the superb results you expect.The cartridges are incostly and readily available.Thumb-ups to the designer in Canon who designed this features. Canon Pixma iP1500 is a superb printer with very good design and features.1280 x 1024 dpi or 1600 x 1200 dpi), the better the print quality even the actually print out size is much compacter than what you want or what you see on your PC display.You don't need to worry around that with this printer.. Absolutely Positively the WORSE Printer I have ever owned.The paper loading tray of this printer can be folded down to double the use as a dust cover to cover up the place where the paper is inserted.Easy-PhotoPrint delivers professional looking digital photos with improved image processing and colour fidelity.I am going to find out around this issue later.The photo print quality is better to most more costly models.If anyone wants it.Bottom line? More nozzles with higher accuracy equal better results.they can have it for the cost of delivery.With the Canon Pixma iP1500 Photo Printer, printing projects for school or for your family scrapbook will impress even the sharpest critic.. One of the superbest thing around this printer is the actual design on the hardware. As far as print quality, it is better for its class and price range.I use it for trivial printing at this point.It's extremely user-friendly with easy load and learn software, prints wondrously fast, and the quality is outstanding..After that. First of all, the good thing around it is the price. In steps Canon, god love them.If you have a good sources photo, it is going to print out exactly like what it should look like on the computer display.Great Cameras, superb printers, Mac support for days. Now this printer is my home unit and I could not be more pleased with its performance.its in the rubbish. I would also advise you use a high resolution source photo file to print if you want good print out quality. Printer speed is good enough for my need and the noise it generates is perfectly acceptable.You'll be amazed at the results. This printer is fast, quiet, and works effortlessly with iPhoto as well as any of the typical Pro applicationsa Graphic Designer might use.They now are a commodity player with an costly, unmanageable, galumphing line of equipment.It's easy to use, fast and compact.In most of my older printers, I always have to lea ve space for the non-removable or unfoldable paper tray that stick out behind the printer. Ink cartridges for Canon has always been cheaper than most other brands. The only negative of this printer is that it does not come with a seperate ink cartridge and printhead container like most older Canon printer models did..But that is just my personal alternative theory.Same goes for this printer which use the BCI-24 type cartridge which is the same or just slightly more costly than the BCI-21 cartridge discovered on most older Canon printer.Photo projects whiz by too: it can produce a 4" x 6" borderless photo in approximately 58 seconds.To further enhance printing quality, this economical printer uses a special pigment-based black ink for laser-like text on reports and e-mails, along with high intensity colour inks for vivid photos and graphics...It uses an innovative 1,088-nozzle print head that ejects consistent and precise ink droplets as compact as 2 picoliters.Easy-WebPrint software gives users the tools to properly print web sites in full colour without losing any information.You can never go wrong with Canon products..I purchased mine from there for around 8 dollars..And it will totally change how you print and share photos..This patented technology produces outstanding resolution and clear, detailed images. I purchased this printer because it was fast and incostly, and have been pleasantly surprised at its better quality..I am not sure if Canon come up with new technology in this printer to prevent that problem or simply got lazy and omitted this feature.OK, what around speed? This no-compromise printer is surprisingly fast, capable of printing up to 18 ppm in black and up to 13 ppm in colour.Or even worse that they simply perfer their customer to either print more, buy and use more ink to keep the ink-head functional or get new print-head from time to time.It's an superb value
