Dell Inspiron 6000 Review
Dell Inspiron 6000
The Dell Inspiron 6000 series is a midrange desktop-replacement system ideal for business use. Dell sells the Inspiron 6000 notebook with an almost identical set of options on both its home and small-business sites so dell is also targeting this Inspiron at home users. The Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook is available with Intel's less powerful Celeron processor, running at 1.3GHz or 1.5GHz, or a Pentium M.
The Dell Inspiron 6000 can accommodate up to 2GB of RAM, and hard drive capacities range from 30GB to 80GB.
The Dell Inspiron 6000 is available with either 802.11b/g or 802.11a/b/g cards made by either Intel or Dell itself, plus a Dell-branded Bluetooth card.
The Dell Inspiron 6000 is well priced and well worth considering for home and small-office use.
Your Comments/Opinions
The build quality of the inspiron 6000 is good, a vast improvement on older Inspiron models. Keyboard is also nice, not the best laptop keyboard I have used, but nice. My 1.6 Ghz processor runs pretty cool and there isn't much fan noise. The Inspirons graphics speed is acceptable for everyday business use and the display is crisp, battery life is better than my last Dell.steven_dunn
'I have an Inspiron 6000 Notebook (Dell) and whenever I click on Control Panel my whole screen goes off and comes back and i have not been able to make any changes or do anything in Control Panel I would greatly appreciate some help on how to fix my problem as Dell seem unable to help.'fathima_
'I have had my dell 6000 for 5 months and im very pleased with it, Dell get a lot of bad reviews but its just because of the amount of computers that they sell. The people who are happy with the product / service they get from dell should shout about it!'paul
'Dell have made their name and a great deal of money. It was all going too well, wasn't it? Everyone was getting happy. Then they go fix what wasn't broken, and it has all been spoiled. Dell have infamously poor after sales service now that they have subbed it out. Like anything these days: everything is OK until it isn't.'dcd
'So far so good, we have 20 at work. Look a bit tacky though.'ms_sexton@hotmail.co
Dell rip you right off. You're guaranteed the battery will die soon and will be charged at least £300 to get it fixed.G
