OK, Musteks driver & utility instalation are utterly useless, the utilities will not even install properly on my system as part of the setup program performs an illegal operation and is closed.
The Mustek website is utterly useless aswel, if you lose your driver CD you are in big trouble as they do not host the original drivers on thier website, you may be able to find them somewhere else but I always find it annoying when the company that designed the product will not host the original drivers.
While the build quality of the scanner itself is good I found that the Socket for the USB cable is too tight, I pushed it in hard and spent 20mins thinking my scanner was broken as it would not detect in windows but it would power up, I then gave it a really good last push and finally it detected. Im very Weary of moving it now incase the cable comes lose again.
Not a bad scanner but tricky installation makes it the wrong choice for PC novices.

If any nice person out there in scanner land has a copy of the original scanner cd, could they let me have a copy. I cannot find the drivers anywhere. Thanks.

'disc i received is for windows 98 and windows 2000 ihave new computor with windows xp i thought i had found the answer in a bearpaw 2400 download only to install the drivers then windows tells i will have to restart computor for drivers to take efect . when windows starts up it finds new hardware please insert disc and we go through the same procedure again has someone out there got copy of the software disc for mustek bearpaw 2400 to be used with xp we could swap iain.h.reid@btinternet.co.uk' iain__h__reid

hi everybody, i am also trying to install the Bearpaw 2400 on my computer. I have Windows XP and the CD I have is only for Win2000 and 98. Does somebody has the right drivers for me?
