Because spreading of virus infected files by a Macuser will occure. The Macuser wouldn't recognize, that his attachements he is sending around are infected. So again, think about it: Is this really strange?

Are there any viruses on OS X - I think not. Strange why someone would make an anti virus program for OSX.
