Forget everything you know about Internet-Telephony (VOIP). Impractical headsets, bad connections and time-delays, calling only through your computer - that is a thing of the past!
As a sipgate VOIP user, you call with a normal looking telephone that is plugged into a broadband/DSL connection.
A sipgate Internet telephone can be operated at any Internet connection with at least 100 Kbit/s up AND downstream. All broadband Internet ports (e.g. DSL or cable modem) are more than sufficient for this. A computer is not needed by the way: Since the Internet telephone runs over a separate device, your PC can be switched off. You are still reachable and can call - as you do with a normal telephone.
In order to make the transition as smooth as possible for Sipgate VOIP customers, all sipgate devices are shipped pre-configured for your sipgate account. That means that you needn’t make any more adjustments – unpacking and plugging in are usually trouble free.
