FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Out of the box, this PSU shouts quality, right in your face. It's actually quite a heavy PSU, but to me (and probably most of you) this is a good thing, since with PSU's, this would probably be an early sign of high quality. It comes with a user manual (i've never had one with a PSU before). Something else which you may notice when you first take it out of the box (or it could just be me imagining it), is that the power cables seem quite long, compared to that on other PSU's.NOISE AND POWER LEVELS: This PSU has 3 settings (Auto, Full & Silent).
Obviousley, its very quiet when on silent, and it's usually very quiet when on Auto (on this setting, the speed varies depending on how hot the system temperature gets, so if it gets VERY hot, it will more than likely sound quite loud as it spins faster). Setting it to full, is obviousley the loudest, but to my surprise, it still performs quieter on the full setting, then my old PSU did, on the quiet setting (don't worry, my old PSU wasn't one of these).
DOWNFALLS: I've yet to find any. It has all of the things which people would complain about, if it didn't. A ON/OFF switch for example. This is mounted on the back. I really don't think this PSU has any downfalls -- its great.
If any of you are prepared to spend this amount of money on a PSU (which is actually VERY cheap, considering it probably outperforms some of the higher priced ones), then get this.
