Turbo Tax is Intuit's best-selling product and the most popular tax preparation software available. Turbo Tax is a fast, easy way to do your taxes, featuring an initial "interview" process similar to TaxCut. With simple to use wizards that can guide you through your tax returns without any expert assistance, Turbo Tax is a worthy investment.

TurboTax asks you simple questions then places your answers on the right income tax forms. You can choose to do your taxes online (TurboTax for the Web) or with desktop tax software (TurboTax software).

This year Intuit has improved their features for a straight-forward system that provides basic tax guidance to help you prepare your tax return within 30 minutes. Each of the wizards guide you through your return and allow you enough freedom to use the added features that help you search out all possible tax savings that other tax preparation programs lack.

Getting further assistance not included with you original software purchase will cost you more. Intuit provides "Live Advice" online or by phone for an extra twenty dollars. Another option to avoid these fees is to purchase the slightly more expensive Turbo Tax Premier and Home & Business versions.

Turbo Tax Premier is by far Intuit's best tax preparation software, helping many taxpayers save countless hours filling out complicated tax returns. We were extremely pleased with the features available in this software package and consider Turbo Tax to be a great buy.

The best way to get upgrades is sned for the CD as many people are having problems downloading if you use a firewall, viruschecker, or router. Supoort is of little help all they tell you is turn them off and disconnect routers, not a great solution.

'I have used Turbo Tax for about 6 years and have always had a positive experience. This year has been perfectly horrible. The updates didn't come quickly. I got stuck in an 'error loop'. I had to contact them for help twice. Finally, with the taxes finished, was told that my federal return could not be efiled because a form I needed was not available that way so was recommended that I print and file by mail. I won't buy the program next year, it was not a pleasant experience at all.'

'Nothing but problems using Premier to enter wages of my daughter in college on my joint return. Will only accept wages for my wife and I. Calling help desk confirmed problem existed. Need work around. Help!'

'This product stinks!... I have used it for years but lately it is the pits. This year there are updates and I called for them as I do not have the Internet at home. Is Turbo Tax using a different calendar? It is saying that April 17 is a Thursday when it is actually a Monday? It is such a simple mistake that one wonders what other mistakes are in the software.
