i bought this modem when using win ME so could update to win xp...on ME was fine,worked great,but XP wouldnt have anything to do with it or the drivers supplied! after i had uninstalled xp and gone back to ME i eventualy found online a few 3rd part uncertified drivers to make it XP compatable,but after getting xp installed again i found that although was able to connect to the net(eventualy that is,after ALOT of changing xp configs as wouldnt coonect straight away), i found it only connected at around 33kbps(tested with my isp's bandwidth test prog online) and never got above 36kbps,when on ME it connected at between 46 and 53kbps....for the money you are MUCH better off getting a cheap serial modem thats xp compatable in my opinion,not this expensive waste of cash/(took me all day to get working on xp,and i KNOW what i am doing-if your new to pc's or this sorta thing,i feel sorry for you if bought it and are using XP...)
