The GRT Series of VAIO portable PC from Sony destroys the concept that a notebook can't hold all the features you need. At less than 2" thick, the GRT is easy to tuck under your arm or into a briefcase for travel, while its impressive list of standard equipment will help you zip through the biggest workload. This model is configured with a 2.2GHz Pentium M processor, a 512KB L2 cache, a 40GB hard drive and 256MB DDR SDRAM. In addition to the 400MHz front bus speed, it also offers two Type I/II or one Type III CardBus slot(s), one Magic Gate Memory Stick media slot and a 24x10x24x8 (CD-R, CD-RW, CD-ROM, DVD max. speeds) CD-RW/DVD combo drive so you can create, download and store large files and presentations. The combo drive is housed in the multi-bay and can be swapped out for an optional extra battery for increased up-time. For your communications needs, it contains a V.90 modem and a 10/100BaseTX Ethernet controller. The i.LINK interface supports high-speed digital video, audio and data transfer capabilities among equipped Sony products. The nVidia GeForce4 FX Go 5600 graphics with 64MB DDR SGRAM supports resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 on the 16.1" TFT display, while the built-in stereo speakers complete the multimedia package. It comes with a touchpad, Jog Dial control, Li-Ion battery pack and AC adapter. Windows XP Home Edition is pre-installed
