Microsoft Money 2004 Financial Suite Review
Microsoft Money 2004 Financial Suite
Microsoft Money 2004 Financial Suite
Microsoft Money 2004 Financial Suite which includes Microsoft TaxSaver DeLuxe had a quick and easy way to use interface that enables you organise and manage both your business and personal finances. It certainley doesn't have the power of Sage, or even Quickbooks but it does help manage credit and debt, keep track of your investments and plan for the future. In addition TaxSaver helps you calculate and file tax returns.
New features in this latest version of MS Money include the 'Credit Centre' where you can review a summary of debt accounts, learn about credit management, try what-if scenarios, and help protect your credit status. Account balancing has been improved and you can save time by automatically downloading banking and credit card information from your financial institution. And, with the improved statement reconciliation in Money Financial Suite 2004. The automatic download of statements from UK banks and credit cards is much harder to do and I’ve only managed to get one account working so far, possibly because i'm UK based and product is obviously of American origin,
Microsoft Money 2004 Financial Suite includes Microsoft TaxSaver 2003 DeLuxe. With TaxSaver you can calculate your tax liability or refund. It helps you file your tax returns either in print or online direct to the Inland Revenue. TaxSaver also includes 70 tax-saving tips.
Problems have been reported with the way this version of Microsoft Money 2004 uses the Microsoft Passport system, but I did not personally experience any problems with it.
I'm sure that most users will find the introduction of automated financial news on the homepage pointless. Integrating your financial portfolio with near real-time prices is much more useful in that respect.
A lot of bugs have been removed since I last used Money(the 2002 version) and I now think its the best budget accountancy package available, the only real cheap alternative being Quicken.
